Job Satisfaction
Since the majority of adults devour a substantial part of their time at work, job satisfaction has become instrumental in the well being of an individual. This essay will first discuss which all elements supposedly lead to job satisfaction and will then address the question, 'How realistic is the expectation of job satisfaction for all workers?'
Out of all the factors contributing and giving rise to job satisfaction, the most crucial one I could think of is a good remuneration package. In a recent article by a leading Human Resource (HR) publication states that people working in a high paying chore, satisfying them, are 75% more contented than those who are not. However, job satisfaction is not limited to financial rewards and income.
To a vital and fulfilling career, also writes the setting and workplace health. People with a chore that matches their skill set and where they have space for mental soundness secures the desired job. Respect to a person, irrespective of the position, reverence to their work, and freedom of expression counts to elate the job value in an employee's vision.
Further, components such as learning and growth opportunities, job security, a decent leader and nice colleagues, fair compensation, and an adequate number of holidays complete the package of job satisfaction.
But is this really all? Does the topic end here?
Since employment requirements and employee's expectations evolve with time, it's almost unrealistic to define if people actually manage to find job satisfaction; while it's true that everyone seeks the same. Also, sometimes it becomes impossible for employers to keep everyone happy as individual responsibilities are different.
In conclusion, the aspect of job satisfaction is diverse as priorities and goals differ from person to person in turn making it difficult for everyone to find it.
