Storms Within

In the depths of my soul, a tempest resides,
A storm of emotions, where pain coincides.
It's not about decisions, right or wrong,
But the scars and fears, that in me belong.

I'm healing, not healed, in this journey I tread,
Each step a reminder of the battles I've bled.
I strive to move on, to find solace and peace,
But the echoes of trauma refuse to cease.

You see me from afar, judging with ease,
Thinking life's choices are simple, a breeze.
But I invite you, dear one, into my abyss,
To witness the turmoil, the demons amiss.

In the caverns of my mind, a haunting swell,
Where shadows dance and nightmares dwell.
The whispers of past regrets, they never subside,
As I stumble through darkness, seeking a guide.

The weight on my shoulders, it's more than you know,
An invisible burden that refuses to let go.
Yet, through the pain, I find strength to go on,
To rise from the ashes, though I feel so withdrawn.

So don't measure my worth by the choices I make,
For my battles are fought with more than a stake.
I'm a survivor, a warrior in my own right,
Fighting against shadows that consume the night.

In the depths of my heart, compassion remains,
For others who bear scars and hidden pains.
I offer my empathy, my understanding so deep,
To those who are wounded and struggle to sleep.

So judge not, my friend, by the paths I have trod,
For life's complexities are not just a façade.
I'm healing, not healed, and it's a journey untold,
But with each step forward, I'm stronger, I hold.

In the midst of my chaos, I find a glimmer of light,
A beacon of hope that guides me through the night.
And though the storms may rage, and traumas may swell,
I'll keep moving forward, my story to tell.
